This has been an exciting and busy week as we approach actual book launch proper!
First, lots of administrative things, like “assigning” my ISBN numbers with Bowker to the ebook, paperback, and hardcover (and then the audiobook later on).
Also, my book is now registered with the Library of Congress meaning it’ll get its LCCN, the Library of Congress Control Number. So you’ll be able to find my book in the Library of Congress!
And… the copyright application has been submitted with the US Copyright office now awaiting a physical copy of my book for their official records.
I was actually chatting up and back with the Copyright office and was surprised to see how human and responsive they are. I totally expected an autoresponder saying I might hear back in 10 business days, but like real humans were super helpful by email.
Lastly, my ebook is all ready to go and uploaded with Amazon KDP. And my print ready manuscript is ready to go with the table of contents fixed up, and other small issues sorted out. The back cover design is 95% done and is the last thing I’m waiting on. Then I can have Amazon and Ingram send me my physical proofs in the mail!
This all means… you’ll be getting an email from me early next week with the full manuscript so you can get early access to the book as promised!
