You built this business by outworking everyone in the room. Now the harder you push, the less it seems to move.
That stall is where Jeremy Shapiro does his sharpest work. He is a business coach, entrepreneur, and the author of Your Business Growth Playbook. On this episode of the Biz Book Pub Hub podcast, Jeremy joins host Robbie Samuels to talk about what comes after hustle stops working.
You read the plateau as a signal to push, so you add hours. Jeremy’s case is that hours were never the constraint. Look at what actually crosses your desk in a week: the pricing exception, the hire you have to sign off on, the client who will only talk to you. You built a company where every road runs through your office. That works at one size, and then it stops working.
Which leads to the question worth sitting with before you press play. Are you running a business, or are you self-employed with staff? A business keeps producing while you are gone. A job with a payroll attached goes quiet the moment you do. Jeremy says you already know which one you have, and you found out the last time you took a real vacation, or spent a Tuesday afternoon fielding calls that should never have reached you.
From there, he and Robbie get practical about what carries you past your own ceiling: systems, teams, and leadership capacity. Systems turn the decisions you make over and over into something your team can follow without checking in. Teams take on judgment, not just tasks. Leadership capacity is the part most owners skip, because it means watching someone make a call you would have made differently, and letting it stand.
If you wrote a book, the pressure doubles. The book creates demand. The business has to absorb it.
None of this asks for a bigger push. It asks for a different build.
About the Biz Book Pub Hub podcast and host Robbie Samuels

Biz Book Pub Hub treats a book as part of a business, not a trophy on a shelf.
The show speaks to entrepreneurs who want their writing to bring in clients, so the conversations stay focused on strategy rather than publication dates.
Robbie Samuels hosts, and he founded the Biz Book Pub Hub as a wider resource ecosystem for entrepreneurial authors. It brings together a curated directory of vetted experts, community networking events, and a podcast where authors speak candidly about what the process actually takes.
His coaching centers on launches that build momentum. That means a launch team and a soft launch window aimed at 50 or more Amazon reviews, outreach designed to create real conversations instead of empty clicks, and a virtual launch party that puts the author in front of likely prospects.
For authors who have already published, he also coaches relaunches with sharper positioning, so the book finally starts earning its keep.
Robbie lays out the full process in his fourth book, LAUNCH Your Book! An Entrepreneur’s Guide to Reviews That Drive Revenue, which includes bonus content and a complimentary 30-minute brainstorming session at BookLaunchBrainstorm.com.
He also runs Kindle Flash Sales, where dozens of authors cross-promote so they can reach new readers together.
